My IndiEye Company Overview
My IndiEye Travel Companions is a venture incubated at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, under the Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development.
My IndiEye is developing content in the tourism industry to make the experience of tourists in India much more meaningful. We are using cutting-edge technology which is being used in developed nations (UK/ USA/ Korea/ Singapore/ Holland etc.) and we want India to be the one to take it forward first in the developing world.
Our first product for the Golconda Fort was developed as a 3-yr Public-Private-Partnership with AP Tourism and has won an international award for the most innovative mobile initiative in tourism. We’re on our way to developing many more revolutionary products and are looking for passionate people to join our team and help transform the way people see India.
JOB DESCRIPTION – Sales & Marketing Manager
The Manager will be reporting directly to the CEO. She/ he will be responsible for the following:
- Business Development and Sales across 5-star and 4-star hotels, HICC, APTDC, Tour Operators, Key Corporations receiving outside visitors/ guests regularly (ISB; Microsoft; Infosys; Wipro; ICRISAT etc.).
- To maintain good relations with our customers
- To follow up all enquiries, preparing proposals where necessary and facilitating show rounds with potential investors/ clients
- Training/ Coaching of the client’s Front Office Staff post deployment.
- Fortnightly review of our sales & feedback across all our clients. Collating & presenting the same. Actionable follow up of all points raised in review meetings.
- Overseeing overall delivery processes post sales.
- Handle customer service calls/ requests. Should have ability to solve any onsite/ offsite query/ grievances.
- Promotion & marketing to new and existing clients of all updates regarding co./ industry through a pro-active approach.
- To provide input and ideas into marketing initiatives and subsequently promote these Initiatives and monitor responses.
- Select, negotiate with and manage vendors who prepare marketing materials for the company.
- Liaison with multiple stakeholders – Govt; Customers; Employees; Management; Service Providers.
- Manage, train, retain junior employees.
Position Requirements
Candidates for this role should ideally have at least 1-3 years experience, preferably on-field sales and business development roles in the hospitality or tourism sector. Relevant educational qualification is highly desirable. Fresh grads will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Additionally, they would have the following attributes:
- Strong sales, communication and persuasion skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Patience and ability to handle difficult situations
- Self-driven, motivated and a strong desire to perform and achieve results and targets
- Comfort in an entrepreneurial environment
- Solution oriented and multi-tasking person willing to take responsibility and accountability
Location, Expected On-boarding Date, Compensation
- The full-time position will be based out of Hyderabad, India and is available immediately
- Remuneration will have both fixed and variable components, with the variable component directly linked to measurable indicators (sales targets etc.). Remuneration will be commensurate to experience and at par with market standards
- The Manager will be personally trained, coached, mentored and monitored by the CEO
